The Eighth Book is aimed at the entire ecosystem of a company, particularly targeting Plant Directors or company owners. Drawing from my experiences as a Manufacturing Engineer, where initial attempts at creating PFMEAs for new programs proved challenging and eventually became repetitive without addressing the real root causes, this book delves into the paradigm shifts necessary within the manufacturing process. This repetitive approach led to unstable Nonconformance Report (NPR) rates and increased costs due to added Poka-yokes, ultimately affecting profitability. Collaborations with scientists have helped me realize that my adherence to an outdated paradigm, shaped by my educational system, needed revision. This book advocates for a more profound, science-based understanding of processes, emphasizing interdisciplinary teams led by individuals capable of guiding to the root causes and leveraging scientific insights for effective problem-solving.
